Description | The project’s main objective is to upgrade the existing fare boxes with new technology to allow a wider range of payment forms on the City of Belleville buses. It will significantly reduce the need for customers to access City Staff for the purchase of fare media and will significantly reduce the amount of manual processing of cash. Additionally, it will reduce/eliminate the cost of paper passes, and ticket printing and distribution. It will also provide better security, fraud prevention and increased audit abilities. |
