Description
Description | The FC project is intended to contribute to meeting the continuously increasing demand for electricity in Vietnam in a more reliable, cost-effective and environmentally and climate-friendly way (measure objective). To this end, selected investments in the high-voltage network are to be financed, which will relieve the burden on existing lines and thereby reduce transmission losses. Smart technologies for controlling and ensuring efficient network operation are to be used in parallel. The project thus contributes to the economic, ecological and socially fair provision and use of energy and strengthens the capacities of state and non-state actors in the energy sector to implement the goals and specifications of the Green Growth Strategy (GGS) and the Power Development Plan (PDP) (DC program objective). The target group of the project is the population in Vietnam supplied by the public interconnected grid. This includes companies, private households and public institutions. The implementation of the project will be divided into two tranches, for which a total of 160 million euros in FC funds will be spent. The project sponsor NPT is contributing its own contribution of around 15 million euros per tranche. The total costs therefore amount to around 190 million euros. The borrower is the Socialist Government of Vietnam, represented by the Ministry of Finance. This will pass the loan on to the national transmission company EVN NPT (here NPT), which is the project sponsor. |
