The project involves the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of an integrated Smart Parking Management System for Mumbai under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The system aims to digitize and streamline the management of on-street and off-street parking facilities across the city through the deployment of smart technologies such as parking occupancy sensors, cameras, automated parking guidance systems, centralized monitoring platforms, mobile applications, digital payment solutions, and real-time analytics. The project will enable motorists to locate available parking spaces, reserve parking where applicable, make cashless payments, and receive real-time parking information through a unified platform. In addition, the system will support efficient parking enforcement, data-driven decision-making, improved utilization of existing parking infrastructure, reduction in traffic congestion caused by vehicles searching for parking, and enhanced user convenience. The selected concessionaire will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation and operation of the smart parking ecosystem in accordance with the revised conditions and performance standards prescribed by the municipal authority.
