Description
Description | The TunInvest Croissance fund was created in 2013 to fill the financing gap for small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Tunisia. These companies form the backbone of the economy, represent 99% of all companies and provide employment to 85% of the working population. Despite their importance, however, MSMEs have limited access to financial services, which hampers their growth and the performance of the Tunisian economy. By providing equity capital, TunInvest Croissance supports MSMEs on their growth path with the aim of improving their access to capital, expanding their business activities and creating new jobs. The TunInvest Croissance fund, with a fund volume of TND 25.8 million (approx. EUR 11.5 million), in which KfW holds a trust participation of EUR 2.5 million (22.5% of the fund capital), is managed by TunInvest Gestion Financière. TunInvest supports innovative SMEs through equity participation and active involvement in management, especially in the transition from family-run businesses to corporations. 10 SMEs have been supported with capital from the fund, which runs until 2025. |
