SME support through credit guarantee funds

The FC project promotes the expansion of the loan guarantee fund in Albania (Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation, ADGF), which was set up by KfW on behalf of the EU Commission to secure loans to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). By improving MSMEs' access to adequate financing options (the aim of the FC measure), the fund aims to strengthen economic development as well as the employment and income situation in Albania - especially in rural areas and especially for women and young people (DC programme objective). The ADGF's cooperation partners are local partner financial institutions in Albania. The fund's target group are people whose personal future prospects and income are directly linked to the economic situation of the MSMEs.
