Description

Description

Sundance awarded Smoke Sauna Sisterhood by Anna Hints is a beautifully visualised feature documentary capturing an intimate space where women gather to not just cleanse their bodies, but also their souls. Set in a traditional Estonian smoke sauna (part of UNESCO’s list of cultural heritage), Hints’ debut film is an outstanding immersive, cinematic experience. Autlook Filmsales is coordinating the pan-European theatrical and digital release along with 17 experienced distribution partners, covering 23 territories (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden) of different audiovisual capacities. Supported by an international release strategy and marketing concept, our aim is to reach a broad audience, including younger target groups with high potentials, through strong social media promotion and a focus on special events and community collaborations. Theatrical releases in Europe are scheduled from September 2023 to March 2024. With our synergetic approach, we ensure high visibility for the film, to strengthen and develop industry relationships as well as the European arthouse culture. Additional global footprint is secured through distribution in USA/Canada, Australia/New Zealand, Switzerland and UK/Ireland, as well as festivals, digital releases, exploitation of educational and ancillary rights and broadcast sales.
