The objective of this project is to implement new/amended variables in the EU-SILC data collection 2026 under Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2915 of 25 November 2024 specifying technical items of data sets of the sample survey in the income and living conditions domain on over-indebtedness, consumption and wealth pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/2052, as well as to implement new/amended variables in the EU-SILC data collection for the EU-SILC 2027 ad hoc subject on ‘Mental health and wellbeing’ under Forthcoming Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) …/… specifying technical items of the data sets for the 2027 ad hoc subject on mental health and wellbeing in the income and living conditions domain pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council. EU-SILC 3-yearly module on ‘Labour market and housing’ includes the newly introduced variable HC007 ‘Total energy cost’, while the EU-SILC 6-yearly module on ‘Over-indebtedness, consumption, and wealth’ includes multiple variables. EU-SILC 2027 ad hoc subject on ‘Mental health and wellbeing’ is composed of 20 new/amended variables that will be collected for the first time. The data collection and implementation of the variables newly introduced in the EU-SILC 2026 modules, as well as the preparatory activities for the EU-SILC 2027 ad hoc subject variables, are foreseen.
