To support the solution of environmental, urban and social problems that affect the city of Manaus, particularly the residents of the areas adjacent to the Igarapés Educandos/Quarenta and São Raimundo, by providing better living conditions and quality of life in general. The specific objectives are: (i) improve the environmental and health conditions in the areas of the Program's intervention through the rehabilitation and/or implementation of drainage systems, water supply, solid waste collection and disposal and environmental rehabilitation in the upper parts of the Igarapes watersheds; (ii) improve the housing conditions in the area of the Program's intervention through urban planning, land tenure regulation, adequate housing, implementation of recreational areas and conducting environmental and sanitary education campaigns; (iii) improvement of the Program's operative and management capacity through institutional strengthening and community participation.
