The Project would do the following: (i) provide credit atcompetitive market rates primarily to low income customers of EPM, many ofwhom have never received a loan; (ii) more specifically, provide these customersaccess to home improvement finance and financing for new and more efficientappliances and potentially other goods and services, and (iii) improve efficiencyin the consumption of energy by giving the beneficiaries the possibility to replaceold appliances with more-energy efficient ones.
