Description | “VET4 Social Impact” is part of a broader program, implemented by VIS, the lead applicant, and by the beneficiaries since 2019 in two strategic Countries of the Southern Mediterranean region: Egypt and Palestine. In line with the general objective of the Erasmus+ program, it aims at enabling the environment for vocational clusters to boost local socio-economic development through social entrepreneurship, more accessible, inclusive, quality TVET-business provisions to emerging local labour markets, as a means to impact on an improved livelihoods of groups in vulnerable conditions (e.g. women and youth). It moves from the analysis of the needs and gaps of the TVET actors which, in the 2 Countries, should be able to perform as vocational clusters that is “Quadruple Helix model-based” eco-systems for social innovation (please refer to the paragraphs on methodology and innovation) and impact at systemic level. The project will implement the COVE model and the EntreComp manual in both countries, basing on the experience of the European Training Foundation in Tunisia, and profiting from the partners' experience in this specific issue. Thanks to its flexibility, EntreComp will serves as a foundation for designing curricula and educational activities aimed at cultivating entrepreneurial proficiency. Furthermore, it will facilitate the establishment of criteria for evaluating learners' and citizens' entrepreneurial abilities, thereby aiding in the establishment of Entrepreneurial Centres for Vocational Excellence (EntreCoVEs). the project amis at incorporating entrepreneurship education and integrating EntreComp into the curriculum as an essential element for establishing an effective VET-business eco-system. Two pilot VET-business clusters will be introduced to implement this concept, one in Egypt one in Palestine, in the field of community based tourism. |
