The development objective of the Armenia Social Protection Administration Project is improved performance (efficiency, effectiveness, quality) by the labor and public employment, pension and social assistance agencies in providing services to the population. The project has the following components: Component 1 - General Support to the Social Protection Sector: The component will develop a management information system for the creation, acquisition, storage, maintenance and exchange of digital information that will improve coordination among public social protection programs. Component 2 - Improving Labor and Employment: The component will increase efficiency and effectiveness of the state employment services (SES) in labor market intermediation and support labor reform. Component 3 - Modernization of Pension System Administration: The component will create a modem pension system administration by developing a client data base of individual records (a central register), operational improvements in key business processes related to the management of the central register, and improving general and financial management in the State Social Insurance Fund. Component 4 - Improvement of Social Assistance: The component will improve the poverty targeting mechanism. Component 5 - Project management: The component will ensure timely and efficient project implementation.
