The objectives of the Social Protection Management Project are to develop the capacity required to implement the pension reform and to support the development of an efficient and sustainable social protection system in Moldova. The first project component, social protection policy analysis and monitoring and evaluation, will establish and develop the Social Policy Unit; monitor the implementation of reformed pension policies; construct a Social protection database; produce an annual social report; and build capacity through training activities. The second component, social project administration, will strengthen the administrative capacity of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Family through rationalizing its organization structure and functions of the administration, designing and implementing a human resource development plan, strengthening financial management, and developing a comprehensive information system. The third component, public information provision and communication, will finance the purchase of basic equipment, and the production of information materials to be disseminated to various target groups. The final component, project coordination, will finance the operational expenses of the project coordination unit.
