Description

Description

The proposed AF will continue strengthening the social protection system and expanding the coverage of social protection programs. Under Component 1, the AF will address identified gaps in the capacity of the SP system to respond efficiently to ongoing needs as well as future shocks , including climate-induced ones, by supporting: (i) the expansion of the Unique Social Registry and recertification of its data, (ii) the development of new functionalities and integrations in the “Ke-Non” Management Information System, and (iii) the capacitation and professionalization of the social technician workforce. Under Component 2, the AF will support: (i) a scale-up of the Vulnerable Family Program to reduce the coverage gap in poor and climate-vulnerable communities, along with an adjustment to the cash transfer value to mitigate the impact of inflation, and (ii) the implementation of a new productive inclusion program to enhance the income-generating potential of current VFP beneficiary households and facilitate their transition to sustainable and climate-resilient livelihoods. Component 3 will support one additional year of project implementation support, monitoring, and evaluation.
