Description
Description | "Nowadays, social protection of general public takes centre stage for most states. The EU has extensive experience in effective legal regulation in this sphere. In Russia, the social security system is in crisis. The problems of poverty and social exclusion are relevant for most Russian regions, as many powers have been transferred to the regional level. In this regard, EU experience is extremely useful for law students, local and regional authorities. The wider objective of the EUSOSEL project is to spread knowledge about European social values and social security frameworks among various target groups by: - familiarising BA law students with the principles of EU social security law through the module “European Union social security law” (at least 90 persons); - spreading knowledge about European legal instruments of fighting poverty and social exclusion to specific target groups (professionals, local and regional authorities) through the professional training course “European Union practices of fighting poverty and social exclusion” (at least 75 persons); - improving research and analytical skills of BA, MA and PhD students engaged in studies on social security law in the EU and Russia through the research group (at least 30 persons); - generating insight into EU social law among schoolchildren through the interactive training course “The European Union and its social law” (at least 50 persons); - spreading knowledge about EU social security law to general public (conference ""Social security law in the post Covid-19 period: Vision in the European Union and the Russian Federation”, at least 100 persons). The project outputs and outcomes will be disseminated by creating the project website and social media accounts, releasing project information in mass media. The project will contribute to improving knowledge of various target groups about EU social security law and introducing the best European practices of social protection in Russia." |
