The SESK project aims to finance the building blocks for a Social Services Helpdesk that will have two main priorities: 1. to support social services in accessing and using EU funds and 2. to help Managing Authorities use EU funds to finance quality interventions in the field of social services. The project will do so through four main groups of activities: - gather existing evidence around the use of ESF+, ERDF (and other funds) in social services, promising practices, needs and challenges. - build up capacity of Managing Authorities and Social Services across the EU through Knowledge Sharing activities, including relationship building between civil servants in these fields. - facilitate access to ESF+, ERDF(and other funds) for social services through a Toolkit able to support both Managing Authorities and social services - facilitate partnership between Managing Authorities and social services through the development of Guidance to help identify effective social services interventions, which contribute to achieving EU social policy objectives, and assess how ESF+, ERDF (and other funds) can be used to fund such interventions. The remaining activities (management, dissemination, engagement, quality and evaluation) will help to ensure the project runs smoothly, is well coordinated, reaches relevant stakeholders across the EU, improves partnership between social services & public authorities and produces quality outputs.
