Description | Translated version of this PSD: Serbian The EBRD is considering providing a €150 a loan to Société Générale Serbia to support the bank’s growth strategy in Serbia focusing on SMEs and regional expansion. The loan will be extended in three tranches to support the bank’s lending operations in the next three years. This Project will promote private sector development by supporting a key player on the Serbian financial market to expand its operations and increase lending to the real economy and especially to the SME sector. Société Générale Serbia is the sixth largest bank in Serbia with total assets reaching € 1.5 billion as of June 2011 and 96 branches throughout the country serving more than 250 thousand clients. Société Générale Serbia is a 100 percent subsidiary of Société General SA. € 150 million loan in three tranches of € 50 million each. EUR 150 million. Société Générale Serbia will be required to comply with the EBRD’s Environmental Performance Requirement (“PR”) 9 when on-lending the EBRD funds, conduct their business in accordance with PR 2, adhere to the EBRD's Environmental and Social Exclusion and Referral Lists, and submit Annual Environmental and Social Reports to the Bank. The subsidiary borrowers will be required to comply with applicable national environmental, health and safety and labour requirements. None.
