SoftBank Group Corp. is developing a massive data center-focused project in Piketon, Ohio, planned to be the largest construction project in the country. The AI computing complex will be built on a former uranium enrichment site owned by the U.S. Energy Department, powered by natural gas-fired electricity. The first phase is expected to include about 800 megawatts of power, cost between $30 billion and $40 billion, and be completed by early 2028. The entire campus is projected to channel $500 billion into a single site, making it one of the largest data centers globally with a capacity of 10 gigawatts.
