Description
Description | The SHINE project has a clear objective of promoting the green transition in Africa while increasing energy access. Its main goal is to develop a comprehensive and impactful program that equips young Africans with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to the sustainable development of their communities and the wider African region. To accomplish this, SHINE will upskill trainers, incorporate digital tools and digital skills, provide a strong foundation in solar technology, promote entrepreneurial skills, and create an EU-Africa exchange platform for peer learning and community building. A series of outputs will be produced, including reports presenting country case illustrations and policy recommendations; the SHINE Platform; an entrepreneurial skills toolkit for VET teachers in entrepreneurial knowledge and mentoring skills; and a curricula redefinition. Furthermore, the following mobilities will take place: - 3 Study Visits to Nigeria, Uganda, and Ghana. These will consist of in-country workshops, which will be hosted by African VET schools. The objective is to showcase the research findings that the project partners will conduct, and transform them into actionable steps. - A two-week job shadowing experience in Spain, as part of the training in Solar PV that will be designed for African VET trainers. This action will follow the previously completed online training. It is expected that the project will reach the following audiences: - 4 beneficiary schools in Africa. - 30 associated VET schools in Africa. - > 50 VET trainers and teachers will complete the online capacity building. - > 150 African learners complete the online training in the SHINE platform. - > 150 African learners experience the Solar PV pilot program in their schools. - > 100 external stakeholders and associated partners reached through online activities. - > 70 people participating in the Final Event in Uganda. - > 2000 people reached by the dissemination activities. |
