Description | Solex Energy Ltd has signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat to set up a renewable energy project comprising a 5 GW solar photovoltaic cell manufacturing plant and a 10 GW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility. The solar PV plant will be developed in two phases: 2 GW in Phase I and 3 GW in Phase II, allowing gradual scaling. The BESS facility will store electricity to supply power when solar generation is unavailable. The total estimated investment for the project is around Rs. 4,000 crore, including land and building costs. |
