Description

The objective of the Technical Cooperation (TC) is to provide support to the State of Minas Gerais (MG), through the MG Development Bank (BDMG), in its attempt to reduce the dumpsites (botaderos a cielo abierto) in the municipalities of the State and also incentive a sound and integrated solid waste management (SWM). The specific objective of the TC is to develop "Integrated Plans for Urban Solid Waste Management" in selected municipalities under the format of "pilot-projects", which will include guidelines for the implementation, operation and monitoring of the solid waste Plan. Moreover, the TC will provide support, through technical and legal consultancies, for the creation of a specific Program to support the formation of public consortiums among municipalities for an integrated management of solid wastes.
