Description	The project involves the construction of a 48MW extension to the operational 240.1MW Soma wind farm in Soma district of Manisa Province in west Turkey. The existing Soma wind complex consists of three phases - 79.2MW Soma 1, 60.9MW Soma 2 and 100MW Soma 3. Soma 4 will add 12 turbines with 4 MW capacity. The sponsor is Polat Energy and the project company is Soma Enerji Elektrik Üretim AS. The project cost is $ 55 million. Garanti BBVA has signed a $44 million "gender equality loan", consisting of $21.5 million cash tranche with an eight-year tenor and $22.6 million non-cash tranche with an 11.5-year tenor.
