In the event of an eligible crisis and if the CERP is activated , several immediate response needs would be supported through the operation, as applicable given the nature of the crisis. This is intended to mitigate the immediate impacts of crises on vulnerable populations by aiding access to critical inputs and the resources needed for recovery. The operation includes a positive list of eligible expenditures, ranging from emergency cash assistance and relief supplies for households to the distribution of light equipment to restore access. This list may be revised at least annually—provided no crisis or activation occurs—to reflect evolving emergency response needs and incorporate lessons learned from implementation. Additionally, the project will leverage the government’s Unified Social Registry (USR) to identify potential beneficiaries. Any supplementary registration will also be conducted through the USR system or a third-party.
