The Project is Phase 1 of a MPA expected to be implemented over 10 years. This Phase will focus on establishing implementation structures and planning for subsequent phases, while addressing critical connectivity bottlenecks in key economic nodes. It will set up implementation frameworks across all levels of government, leveraging existing structures where possible, and building capacity where needed. Spatially targeted assessments will be conducted to ensure future phases are well coordinated and aligned. Phase 1 will also support the establishment of revenue generation and sectoral financial sustainability. It will support investments in critical access challenges and urban service bottlenecks.
