Sonangol-MIT Cooperation Agreements

awarded

Angola's national oil company Sonangol signed two agreements with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to strengthen cooperation and knowledge transfer in oil, gas, and critical minerals. The agreements, MIT Industrial Liaison Program (MIT-ILP) and MIT Africa, aim to support Angolan resource development, increase oil production, diversify the industry with innovative gas projects, and advance alternative energy sources like green hydrogen. The programs will facilitate research, development, skills training, and academic mentoring, involving Angolan institutions such as Instituto Superior Politécnico de Tecnologias e Ciências and Sonangol Research and Development Center.
