The project involves the expansion of 4G coverage and fiber connectivity in Senegal, particularly targeting rural and underserved areas. This expansion aims to improve digital infrastructure and increase bandwidth. Sponsor of the project is Sonatel, a subsidiary of the French group Orange. The total cost amounts to $218.9 million and the debt package involves a $94.5 million Sustainability-Linked Financing provided by the Proparco ($32.6 million), BII ($27.1 million) and IFC ($34.8 million) and also a second bond tranche for $124.3 million. The IFC invested $41.4 million in the bond issue, while the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF) contributed $38.9 million. The remaining $44 million was raised from various investors.
