Song of a siren

ongoing

With the present CE Media Co-Development application of Keplerfilm we intend to support the development of the film SONG OF A SIREN by Floor van der Meulen. Our project is being co-developed with the companies Keplerfilm (the Netherlands) and asterisk* (Greece). Our goals for the development of the project are to encourage the growth of talent coming from the countries already involved in the project, to work closely with our international partners, combining our expertise and skills and to develop and produce the film with the international market as our goal, enhancing its potential. Additionally, we aim to strengthen the artistic and cultural ties with the Netherlands and Greece, both countries of vastly different audiovisual capacities, as well as with our partners in Spain, to create a film with a distinct European identity. While Spain is confirmed as a partner in the project, they are not listed as beneficiaries in this application but will be involved in the production phase. The project activities encompass creative development, location scouting, casting, collaboration with Heads of Departments (HoDs) for world-building, budgeting, project marketing, and financing. The ultimate goal is to successfully develop SONG OF A SIREN up to the production stage in collaboration with our international partners. This initiative will yield various outcomes such as updated script development, research progress updates and visual materials, key artistic crew/casting updates, revised financing and production budgets and schedules, and our updated strategies in distribution and marketing.
