Description | The Sonnedix Ratchasima solar project was a 7.5 MW solar PV project to be located in two separate locations accross Thailand. The project company, Nakhon Ratchasima Solar Co, was 70% sponsored by the Dutch solar developer Sonnedix and 30% by local Thai infrastructure developer CH Karnchang, with equipment to be supplied by First Solar. On commissioning, the project was scheduled to sell power under the Very Small Power Producer model, whereby a feed-in-tariff "adder" above the market rate was applied to the price of power paid to the producer. the length of the contract was not publicly available. Total project cost was stated as EUR 15 million (USD 20.6 million), with commissioning expected for 2012.
