Soundroutes feats Hip Hop

Building on the experience and the achievements of the Soundroutes initiative (www.soundroutes.eu) the project will take place in Italy, Greece, Spain and Belgium and will pursue the following goals: - To strengthen the hard and soft professional skills of Hip Hop artists; - To identify and train young Hip Hop new talents with special attention to those with disadvantaged background; - To build a European network of Hip Hop artists delivering social justice messages to the audience; - To increase the number and the visibility of women artists in the Hip Hop scene. The main activities of the project will be: - setting up Hip Hop local hubs (talent scouting and training in disadvantaged urban areas); - a school called tribe (Co-creation and cross-over schools for Hip Hop artists and new talents); - an International music industry online course; - International Bootcamps (International co-creation camps); - an International network & collaborative digital platform; - an International Hip Hop Women contest; and communication about the project. The target groups are: professional Hip Hop musicians; young Hip Hop talents (musicians, dancers, street artists) from disadvantaged backgrounds; and musicians from other styles. The expected results include: establishment of a transnational network of hip hop artists with social justice profile; improved artistic and professional skills for Hip Hop artists and new talents; increased participation of women in the Hip Hop scene; increased Hip Hop artistic production delivering social justice messages to the audience and artists’ audience developed.
