Description | The National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA) and the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) have partnered to accelerate investment in South Africa's transmission infrastructure. The project includes the construction of about 14,500 km of new transmission lines, new substations, and installation of around 210 transformers and associated components as part of the Transmission Development Plan for 2025 to 2034. The partnership aims to support localisation, supplier development, and industrial financing for local suppliers and contractors over a 72-month period. |
