Description | South Asia's first ever groundbreaking Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Technology Demonstration in India implemented by India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) marks a major advancement in smart Electric Vehicle (EV) charging and grid stability, enabling bidirectional energy flows between EVs and the power grid. The pilot demonstration involved retrofitting four Tata Nexon EVs with on-board bidirectional power modules connected to the grid through bidirectional AC chargers. The project was implemented at BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, BSES Yamuna Power Limited, TATA Power Delhi Distribution Limited, and the Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT), Kerala, with technical support from the University of Delaware (UDEL), USA. |
