The project involves 8 Partners from Sweden (2), Lithuania (2), Germany (2), Poland (1) and Denmark (1). The partnership is composed of academic and VET (vocational education and training) institutions and business support /triple-helix organisations. The Partners are supported by 14 Associated Organisations (regional authorities, business supporting organisations, vocational education centres). The project is led by NetPort.Karlshamn AB from Sweden. The overall idea of the project is to support internationalisation and the cross-border cooperation between vocational education and training (VET) providers, the business sector and VET students in order to develop the South Baltic labour force with skilled young people, competent in international business culture and to increase their mobility within South Baltic. The project includes following sets of activities: - Gathering of electronic applications and project ideas from students and matchmaking with companies or other business partners. To gather a pool of students and businesses, the ‘salespeople’ will be employed in partner organisations with the task to directly inform these target groups about the education/internships programme planned in the project. - Organising four educational testing models for 72 students from all South Baltic countries. Each of these models consists of a three-week cross-border internship, preceded with one week introduction into cultural/business background of the hosting country and general project management/entrepreneurship topics. - Organising seminars for different stakeholders in VET (education providers, teachers, branch organisations, businesses, regional authorities) closely following the educational models. The purpose is to discuss different aspects of VET process in context of the educational models, for example validation of VET certificates, best practices in cross-border VET cooperation or development of curricula supporting internationalisation. - Workshops/seminars with sister projects from other parts of Baltic Sea Region. In result of these actions SBTP will create a Story Book including the final “educational model” and the recommendations for politicians and decision makers, and will disseminate it during Open Days in Brussels and on a final dissemination event in Denmark. The main target groups are students in post-secondary vocational education, VET providers and companies in South Baltic.
