Description
Description | The communities of Erie Beach and Erieau are fed treated water by a stand-alone pipe in-line with a single pressure-reducing valve (PRV). Under this project in order to increase the reliability of the supply system, a new PRV complete with a new valve chamber and isolation valves will be added to the existing system. The following features improve the functionality of the system: - A new cooling water service line for the standby generator for an uninterrupted power supply. - Incorporating a permanent bypass arrangement. - Upgrading an existing valve chamber to accommodate the standby Pressure Reducing Valve and replacing the deteriorated cover. - Interior improvements to the plant service building which included insulation and heating work to provide a healthy work environment to plant operators during winter and protection to equipment and fittings. |
