The City of South Fulton council and the South Fulton Development Authority (SFDA) discussed the need for clearer and more regular communication about development projects. They aim to improve tracking of proposals and incentives, coordinate review of tradeoffs such as commercial mix, traffic mitigation, and public benefits, and ensure earlier notice of projects to the SFDA for better evaluation of incentives against council priorities. Staff will provide regular project updates, prepare a searchable list of active and completed projects, and develop a communication protocol for early notification of zoning and planning applications likely to request abatements.
