South Kalamb Transmission Augmentation Project

Adani Energy Solutions has been selected by PFC Consulting to develop the interstate transmission system (ISTS) for the drawal of power from the South Kalamb substation: Part A in Maharashtra. The project involves augmenting the transformation capacity at the South Kalamb substation by installing three 1500 MVA, 765/400 kV interconnecting transformers, along with associated 765 kV and 400 kV bays and bus sectionalisation. It also includes installing bus reactors for reactive power support and implementing line-in-line-out across multiple 400 kV transmission lines, including the Nagothane–Padghe and Pune–Mumbai corridors, to facilitate reliable power flow and network integration. The project will be implemented under the build, own, operate, and transfer model and must be completed within 24 months of the transfer of the special-purpose vehicle.
