Description | The project involves full reconstruction of South Locust Street from Fonner Park Road to Koenig Street in Grand Island. Improvements include replacing asphalt with concrete curb and gutter, installing sidewalks and a shared-use trail, upgrading storm sewer, repairing water main and sanitary sewer, adding new street lighting, pavement markings, updated signage, and constructing a new roundabout at South Locust Street and Anna Street/Bismark Road intersection. The project is planned over two construction seasons, with the first segment from Fonner Park Road to Delaware Avenue scheduled for 2025 and the remaining segment from Delaware Avenue to Koenig Street planned for 2026. |
