Description | The projects involves the operation and management of the South Port Container Terminal (SPCT) at the port of Port Sudan, located on the Red Sea coast in north-east Sudan, under a 20-year concession contract. The concessionaire will take operational and development responsibility for the existing container terminal infrastructure and terminal handling equipment.The terminal's container assets span roughly 180 ha. It has a 1,200m quay wall and a design water depth of up to 16m allowing it to handle global shipping lines’ largest container vessels. Its equipment includes eight ship-to-shore gantry cranes and an extensive range of yard handling equipment. |
