South River Watermain and High Lift Pump Rehabilitation

The project will rehabilitate watermains and high lift pumps at the water treatment plant in South River, Ontario. The work will involve replacing approximately 2,169 metres of watermains and associated valving on nine streets, reinstating affected roads, sidewalks, curbs, gutters and fire hydrants to pre-construction conditions and upgrading high-lift pumps at the local water treatment plant to bring system pressure to required fire flow levels. The project will fund improvements to transmission pipes, which will increase access to potable water by increasing the reliability and capacity of the transmission infrastructure. The project will also fund improvements to water treatment facilities, which will increase access to potable water by increasing the reliability and efficiency of the water treatment infrastructure.
