Description | Southern Natural Gas (SNG) and Elba Express (EEC) Companies’ South System Expansion 4 (SSE4) project is designed to increase SNG’s South Main Line capacity by roughly 1.3 Bcf/d. The approximately $3.5 billion project (Kinder Morgan share, including EEC, approximately $1.8 billion) is expected to receive a certificate of public convenience and necessity from FERC in July 2026. The first phase is expected to be placed in service in the fourth quarter of 2028 and the second phase in the fourth quarter of 2029, assuming timely receipt of permits and approvals. |
