Description | Smackover Lithium, a partnership between Standard Lithium and Equinor, awarded an EPCM contract to Wood Group USA, Inc. for the upstream well field portion of the South West Arkansas Project. The project includes four well pads, twelve supply wells, ten injection wells, brine gathering and return pipelines to the Central Processing Facility, and a gas gathering system. The project aims to produce 22,500 tonnes per annum of battery-quality lithium carbonate in its initial phase. The EPCM contract covers engineering, procurement, and construction management services for the well field surface facilities and related activities. A Limited Notice to Proceed allows early work to de-risk the project ahead of a Final Investment Decision expected in 2026. |
