Description | Southeast Health is undertaking an $81 million expansion of its emergency department and patient tower. The project will double the size of the emergency department to 38,000 square feet, increasing patient treatment capacity to 75,000 annually. The patient tower will be expanded by two floors, adding 52 inpatient beds and increasing total capacity to 455 beds. Additional improvements include a new CT scanner, a safe environment for behavioral medicine patients, relocation of the Medicine Shop, and upgraded waiting and seating areas. The project is expected to be completed in 2027. |
