Stellantis is planning a new Mopar Parts distribution center in Forsyth, Georgia, representing a $41-million investment. The nearly 422,000-sq.ft facility will employ about 90 United Auto Workers and use dozens of robots in an automated inventory management system to strengthen U.S. parts distribution and provide faster, more efficient service for dealers and customers across the Southeast. The center will feature a 16,000-sq.ft AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system with 66 robots to retrieve parts from a high-density grid of bins, improving warehouse logistics by increasing order processing speed, accuracy, and inventory control, while reducing storage space requirements. The facility will also leverage energy-saving technologies and sustainable building practices.
