Description | The Southern Nevada Supplemental Airport, formerly known as the Ivanpah Airport, is a proposed enormous international airport to be built 30 miles south of Las Vegas on a playa near Primm. The project includes the airport, associated facilities, retail and industrial development, pipelines for water, and infrastructure to support the development, including roads, electricity, schools, and sewers. The land was given to Clark County by Congress in 2000, and an environmental review has been launched by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Bureau of Land Management. |
