A developer, Southington 2 LLC, is seeking a zone change to pursue a large-scale, mixed-use development including a big box retail store, gas station, hotel, and industrial uses. The project involves rezoning property at 682 Curtiss St. and part of 115 Summit Farms Rd. from industrial to business zone. The development will include a 172,000 sq ft retail building, a 1,600 sq ft gas station, a hotel with 100-120 rooms, and multiple industrial buildings totaling over 400,000 sq ft. The total development covers approximately 109.41 acres with 665,382 sq ft of building development and includes a new road for access.
