Description | This project involves the construction of an elevated reservoir approximately 120 feet tall with a 2.5 million-gallons-per-day capacity near Amarra Drive in Southwest Austin. It aims to improve water storage and resiliency for approximately 7,000 customers in the Southwest B pressure zone, which currently relies on only one reservoir. The project is part of Austin Water's Strategic Long-Range Water System Plan to enhance water supply pathways and infrastructure resiliency, especially after the water outages caused by Winter Storm Uri in 2021. |
