The project involves the construction of a Space Port (Spaceport) in the "El Pato" Air Base in the city of Talara (Piura), Peru.This initiative will be implemented on a property owned by the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) under the Asset Project framework, with an approximate investment of PEN 1,000 million (US$ 255 million). The Spaceport project is designed to streamline the launch processes of rockets and spacecraft, facilitating both orbital flights (circling the Earth like satellites) and suborbital flights (rapid transport between continents without achieving a complete orbit). The dedicated platforms for these launches will be situated at the "El Pato Air Base" in Talara, Piura, chosen for its proximity to the Equatorial line and will be appropriately prepared, equipped, certified, and authorized for these specific purposes.
