Spallumcheen - Water System Improvements - Phase 1

The project will improve the quality of the potable water supply the Township of Spallumcheen’s water system. The improvements will include the construction of a new well and reservoir for the Larking water system, as well as complete improvements to the system through the installation of monitoring equipment. The new well will ensure that residents are able to have a safe, consistent supply of water and will alleviate existing seasonal turbidity issues and the high levels of iron and manganese that are currently an issue in the water supply. The project will also increase the resiliency of the Townships water system through the installation of water meters. The improvements will ensure a year round supply of water is available for the community. The project works include: • Construction of a well; • Construction of a reservoir; • Installation of water meters; • Installation of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system; • Connections to existing system; and, • All related works.
