The Customs and Excise Department, in chemical-technological matters, is entrusted with the following functions, among others: - Carrying out physical-chemical analyzes related to customs and Excise control actions. and the preparation of the corresponding reports. - Carrying out chemical-technological studies related to goods and production processes subject to Foreign Trade, Common Agricultural Policy or II.EE regulations, as well as dangerous chemical substances, drug precursors and other products subject to specific customs regulations. Taking into account the above, Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT), through SCLCE, has planned the renovation of the equipment becoming obsolete and also the purchase of new equipment to respond the needs to carry out additional or complementary controls.
