Description

The aim of this edition of EDEN is the appointment of a Spanish Tourist Destination of Excellence, which has developed a tourism based on the enhancement of the local gastronomy. This is to give explicit recognition to those destinations that promote innovative approaches to supply food tourism at least since 2011 and are an integral part of the local development strategy, incorporating respect for the environment, and helping to reduce seasonality and rebalancing the flow of tourists to lesser-known destinations. The project presented will contribute to enhance the visibility of European tourist destinations, boosting demand for destinations that have created new tourist offer based on the local gastronomy and integrating principles of environmental, social and cultural sustainability.
