The developer holds PPAs with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) for 34 projects, with a separate subsidiary developing each project. The project Korat 1 was also part of this group of projects. the Bureerum projects are numbers 18, 19 and 20 out of 34. Bureerum 1 was located at: Hinclone Sub District, Jakaraj District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The project company was named: Solar Power (Bureerum 1) Company Limited (BR1) Bureerum 2 was located at: Toung-Katent Sub District, Nongkii District, Bureerum Province. The project company was named: Solar Power (Bureerum 2) Company Limited (BR2) Bureerum 3 was located at: Bansai Sub District, Prakhonchai District, Bureerum Province. The project company was named: Solar Power (Bureerum 3) Company Limited (BR3) Commissioning for all three plants was expected in January 2013, construction started in August 2012. The panels were supplied by Kyocera Corporation, Japan (all 3 plants). The inverters were supplied by SMA Solar Technology in Germany. The projects by SPCG held a PPA with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), for 5 years - open ended. The PPA provided for a feed-in adder of THB 8.0 on top of the base tariff for 10 years after commissioning. The projects receive tax benefits of 0% for the first 8 years, and half of normal tax rate for the 5 year following. Total project cost for each plant was reported at 157,500,000 Baht(US$5.3 million), or a total of US$ 15.9 million. Financial closure date was unavailable, hence the project was reported as under development here. Financial closure would be estimated at January 2013 based on the commissioning date, which requires an update for 2013 collection cycle. http://www.researchviews.com/energy/clean-technology/clean-technology/NewsReport.aspx?sector=clean%20technology&ArticleID=546301 http://www.spcg.co.th/solarpower/br1/en/index.php http://www.spcg.co.th/solarpower/br2/en/index.php http://www.spcg.co.th/solarpower/br3/en/index.php |
