The project connects Caithness and Aberdeenshire, supporting clean energy and energy security objectives in Scotland and the UK. Local firms Nicol of Skene and John Gunn and Sons are engaged in onshore preparatory and enabling works at Peterhead and Caithness respectively, including horizontal directional drilling, duct installation, access roads, and compound construction. Landfall drilling operations are planned for the summer to enable marine cable installation. |
